Several months ago, while shooting promotional images for a local modern dance group called Azurevision, I was introduced to Diedre Heaton, a local music teacher / singer. She was entertaining at a fundraiser for the dance group and I took some quick shots of her singing. Afterward she and I talked and she mentioned that she needed some new pictures for her website and an upcoming CD release. I offered to help her with that goal and we did a couple shoots and she gave the images to the producer of her CD, Beargrass Records.
Wayne Murphy is the owner of Beargrass and is an accomplished musician too. At the end of January he called on Diedre’s recommendation and set up a portrait session for his own promotion and CD covers. We shot at a local pub called Red’s Wines and Blues and later in a warehouse. Here are some of those images:
