As a member of the Montana PPA (professional photographers of america) I attend periodic seminars with other photographers from the state. At the most recent seminar (called M&M’s: Montana and Monday’s) a presentation on print competition was given and another on Adobe Lightroom…an essential tool for the professional photographer. Something was said during one of the presentations which made me think (yes, occasionally, I think…) about my own images and my brand. This photographer had started sending his images out to family and friends, and they in turn sent them out to their acquaintances. Before long he was receiving emails from people he didn’t know, from places far away. With today’s technology, emailing images across the continents is nearly instantaneous! The point being made was that everyone likes good images and will tell others about them….the guru’s say at least three. Marketing experts call this viral advertising.
From my own personal experience I’ve had others tell me about seeing my images come back from sons stationed in another country with the armed services. Another has my images in the White House! You never know.
I sent out my first’viral image’ yesterday:
If you would like to be on my ‘list’ of recipients, please email me. For those of you already on the list, if you have comments or questions, I’m always interested in hearing what you have to say. Soon, I’ll have a dedicated website page for these images and prints can be made almost as quickly as sending these images:)
