Brittany and Ryan E-session at the KM

I have had the good fortune to be able to shoot some of my recent sessions in a historic building located in our community.  This building was built before the turn of the century and was originally a mercantile building / general store.  Nowadays it’s been developed into attractive rental spaces for downtown merchants.  On the second floor is a warehouse full of interesting furniture, equipment, signs, old railway luggage carts and other equally interesting items.  On the east side are large single-pane windows with stained glass transom-lites.  The warehouse is huge; probably 3000 square feet of open space.

This is where I shot the engagement session of Brittany and Ryan.  One of my favorite places to shoot in this warehouse is in front of an old ‘firebreak’ door that is fashioned out of tin, which gives it the beautiful multi-colored tones that enhance every color placed near it:
