“Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.”
This page is where we tell you a bit about ourselves, but one thing you should know…I hate talking about myself! I believe the most important aspect of any business is trust. If a person can’t trust the deal, they won’t do business and to trust someone you have to know something about them. So, that tells me I should tell you about me and where I came from. Almost chronological…
- A native Montanan, born and raised in Great Falls, MT
- Eagle Scout
- Attended the University of Montana, majored in Zoology
- A member of the Grizzly swim team and springboard diver
- Lived in Denver and was a pet store manager (thus, taking advantage of my education in Zoology)
- Waterfront director for a Boy Scout camp on Flathead Lake.
- Swim team coach in Seattle for a summer
- Worked heavy construction for Montana Power digging ditches and building water mains.
- Manager of a fast-food restaurant in Great Falls
- Met the love of my life and married…still the love of my life…and the best part about me…really.
- Three years in Kansas as an area manager for a fast food company. Was robbed at gunpoint here. Scary!
- Oldest son was born in Kansas
- Moved back to Montana and heavy construction for Montana Power
- Moved to Wyoming and back to food service management…GREAT fishing!
- Youngest son born in Wyoming
- Moved back to Montana and the Flathead Valley
- Wife saves money to buy a 35mm camera for my trip to Washington DC.
- First computer: Commodore 128
- Bought a business and real estate and the whole family worked in it.
- Oldest son is married, I buy my first digital camera…a Sony F505V…I’m hooked!
- Martial Arts instructor 10 years
- Attain sixth degree black belt in Kung Fu
- Sold real estate…we’re RICH…wife remodels house…I’m slave labor
- Wife gets degree in Education and becomes a teacher in Bigfork after working and going to school for six years!
- DigitalMontana is born
As you can see, time is ruthless. No matter what we think of it, it keeps ticking, which is all the more reason to record moments and places which are special to us, see where we’ve been, how far we’ve come, how much we’ve changed, and how much life has happened to us! When we’re gone, the pictures will remain and will tell future generations who we were and show what we looked like.
DigitalMontana is new to the business side of photography, but not to photography itself. I’ve been taking pictures for many years (however, don’t confuse us with your mother and father’s studio). Our photography has a different feel to it. It’s sharp, colorful, sexy, refreshing and once in a while we break rules and like to have fun while doing it. I am self-taught and my creative talents are strong enough to produce beautiful pictures of landscapes, wildlife and nature, but my real passion is creating beautiful pictures of people. You can see some of my images on this website. I have many images that are not online, so if you would like to see more of my work it would be a pleasure to show them to you.
I’m honest, friendly, and down-to-earth and I have a slightly warped sense of humor (according to my wife). I thoroughly enjoy using my God-given talents to create beautiful pictures of moments and places which are special, to me and to you. I want fine art that will stand the test of time and I believe in creating images which take your breath away and leave you wanting to see more.
Take your time and go through the galleries posted here (you’ll find there’s more than just wedding pictures).

I like the photos on your web, I might just copy some ideas.
In your “about” section you did not say anything about losing at “31″ to the Kohles family at Placid Lake.
